Just a random day of trying to get a photo of Ruari and I.

I was trying so hard to get a photo of Ruari and I... hard to do by myself. Oh well... I got a couple of really cute ones of just her. :D

She looks so much older in these photos! Wow... crazy. Love her. Squish.

Baby Ayana's newborn shots.

This is little baby Ayana. So sweet. I took these photos in a pretty dark room. I had the choice to go with a lower ISO with a wider aperture... or higher ISO with a smaller aperture. I should have gone with the higher ISO. I didn't get as much clarity in the photos as I would have liked. BUT, next time. :D It's easier to fix the noise in a photo from a high ISO then and out of focus image.

Which brings me to another thing... I think my nifty 50 lens (50mm 1.4) needs a tune-up. I bought it used on Ebay and I never really got it checked out. I have issues with my auto-focus. It tends to focus close to... but, not on... the spot I want to focus on. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think I'll stop by a local camera shop this weekend and see what they say. If it does need to be fixed: I don't know how I'm going to make it without my 50! I use it everyday. I do have the kit lens... just not the same. :) Happy Friday everyone!

Grandma and Grandpa

Mike's parents came into town this weekend to celebrate mine and Mike's birthday. Our birthday's are 2 weeks apart. :) I can never convince his parents to get in a photo... but, after telling them that Ruari LOVES looking at photos they were totally up for it. But, Ruari wasn't really into smiling during photo time. Oh well... still cute. :D

The winners of the Valentine's Photo Challenge will be up tomorrow! Yay! Are you excited? I am. :)

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Little walks

{Sooooo... we had a bit of a meltdown when while in the dressing room at Anthropologie... Ruari decided I needed to hold her... immediately... Luckily I had remembered to pack a snack for her so I tossed it her way... that kept her happy for a bit. She pretty much melts down most of the time if I don't pick her up when she wants me too... Which is all the time. I'm sure it's just a phase, but it's killing my back. I do love all the cuddles... but, sometimes I have to pee... or breath. :)}
