Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Ruari picks out her outfit (and, a little Vlog)

{On Tuesday my lovely friend, Kelsey @ K.B. Squared babysat my little Ruari for the day. WOW! Such a HUGE help! I seriously had so much to catch up on... order wise.. (see yesterday's post to see how crazy good busy I am).}

{SOoooo... I thought Ruari should pick out her own outfit for the day... and she did! Well... she just pulled the first things she saw out of her drawer. I think it turned out pretty dang cute! Good job baby girl!}

{By the way: Kelsey said she really enjoyed Ruari and wants to watch her again! Score! ;D}

{Don't forget... if you vlogged this week to link it up over at Adeline's Daddy!}

She's so sick...

Ummmm... I thought she was sick? She has melt downs like she doesn't feel good... she's refusing a bunch of food she normally likes... her nose is all stuffed up... lots of drool... yet... here she is: a random burst of energy. It is 1 million times better than her sick stuff. I can't wait till this is gone. She's got a cough too. It breaks my heart.

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Trying something new.

{Have you tried vlogging? A couple of weeks ago I tried something new. I tried out vlogging. At first I wasn't too sure about it... but, now I kind of enjoy it. Not so much watching myself... but, watching the other vloggers that participate! I was nervous to try it out, but I got past that. It's not that bad. I encourage you all to try it out if it's something you've been considering. See if you like it. If you DO like it, we'd love to see your post!}

{I'm happy to announce that Don over @ Adeline's Daddy has decided to take over our Vloggin' Vednesdays. He has posted the upcoming months Vloggin' schedule so you can prepare yourself! For this week: “Rooms in your Home” - Show a room (or rooms) in your house, could be your favorite, could be a room you want to redesign… do what you feel.}

{This video and the following photos were taken on Monday when both my baby boo head and I were nice and healthy... today (Tuesday)... not so much. Ruari has a fever and so do I. Let's hope that Ruari and I are nice and healthy by the time this post is up... for now... look how cute my baby boo head is. She was running all over the place while I recorded my vlog.}

When you have a baby things change. Fast. I didn't immediately accept these changes when Ruari was first born... but, I do more and more each day. I accept (and truly enjoy) my role as her mother and what it takes to help her grow into a beautiful and lovely person.

As parents we really can feel pushed to do this and do that to make our kids #1 and to grow up to be child prodigy's or young geniuses. I can only imagine the push is even greater these days with the online world. I don't know about you... but, at almost every point during the day I am somehow connected to technology.

So, here I am... concerned that I'm not doing enough to help my baby progress to the next stages in her life... Do I read to her enough? Do we go for enough walks? Do I give her enough attention? Is she getting enough healthy food? All these questions have run through my head more than once.

Even though I may not have the "correct" answers to the above questions... I know the best thing I can do to help Ruari achieve is to give her my love. To do this I need to take care of me (mind, body, and soul). Enjoy the moment I'm in. Cuddle. Kisses. Be silly. Take breaks when I need them.

I just need to love my baby. And, I do.

FBFF: Forced Best Friend Forever.

FBFF: Forced Best Friends Forever.

That's what my friend Kelsey (her K.B. Squared blog is here) and I say our daughters are... FBFF. They are going to be the best of friends and braid eachother's hair (or... probably braid Coral's hair) and do manicures and NEVER do anything bad and be perfect little angels that never say "no" or disobey their mommies. :D

AND... how awesome is it that these two FBFF's show up to brunch wearing almost the same outfit? Yeah. They love each other. By the way... Coral's first birthday is almost here!

How about a little FBFF flashback... Coral was 3 months and Ruari was 5.5 months. Awww...

Here Ruari was 7.5 months and Coral was 5 months...

Love those girls!

Can we get a vote for the cute Coral and Ruari!
They are pretty adorable! Just two clicks. Thanks!
