Wordless{ish} Wednesday: 8 Weeks to a Better Me. Week 5: Loving life & having fun

{At Sometimes Sweet}

{Week 5: Loving Life and Having Fun... goals inspired by Lauren from Busy Bee...}

{1. See the beauty in the little things: A big thing for me is to realize that when my baby has one of her many random meltdowns... it's just such a tiny short time... and, she's just learning how to express herself. Man, those meltdowns are hard though. :)}

{2. Simply dress for me everyday: Dress how I want to feel. Put something nice on. It's ok to wear jammies every once in a while... but, I need to put real clothes on. The days I go to Starbucks to work... I put makeup on and wear real clothes... just like I'm going to a real job.}

{3. Don't say anything negative about anyone for a week: This is something I really try hard at. I don't like being negative... but, sometimes it pops out. I like to be nice to everyone if I can.}

{AND... I'm even leaving a kind note for anyone that finds or steals my camera... By the way: I got this fun idea from Andrew McDonald. He wrote a blog post about creating a pictorial guide to camera loss. I'm going to transfer these photos over to my camera... to live on there FOREVER! :) I followed his same basic layout... but, just adjusted/changed some of the wording.}

Bath Time

I'm not sure what changed... but, Ruari suddenly decided that bath time is totally fun! She's never hated it... she's just been sort "eh" about it. But... this past week we now get excited squeals and kicks when we say it's bath time! She can't sit in the tub... she has to walk around the whole... loves to splash.... and only needs a bowl for a toy. That's it. She's happy.... until we take her out... meltdown city!

She also just noticed she gets pruney fingers when she's in the bath too long... you may or may not know how I feel about pruney fingers/toes are the worst thing ever! I can't stand it. The whole time I was pregnant the only thing I was really nervous for my waterbirth was pruney fingers/toes. It's like scratching a chalk board. I don't even like pruney toe photos. Bleh! I don't even like talking about it. :) So, the past couple of evenings Ruari has been trying to pull the "prune" off her fingers. Bwa ha ha! She takes after me. Silly girl.

Ruari Vlog: My funny baby babble!

I FINALLY caught this on video! Usually when I pull my camera/phone out Ruari stops babbling... not this morning!! Ha ha. It's a VERY long video. But, I love it! It seriously cracks me up. What is she doing with her hands? She always does that!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Baby stink face.

{"Ruari... can you smile for mama? No, close... but, that's your belly. Can I get a smile? Oh, that's an angry face."}

{"Can you smile for mama? Hmmm... no, that's not a smile." }

{"Ummm... no, those aren't smiles either."}

{"Hello?"}

{"Is that a doggy outside?" "Yay! Smile!" One of the best ways to get Ruari to smile... ask her about a doggy. Can you tell she's saying, "Dag-geh?" here? Hee.}

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Ruari picks out her outfit (and, a little Vlog)

{On Tuesday my lovely friend, Kelsey @ K.B. Squared babysat my little Ruari for the day. WOW! Such a HUGE help! I seriously had so much to catch up on... order wise.. (see yesterday's post to see how crazy good busy I am).}

{SOoooo... I thought Ruari should pick out her own outfit for the day... and she did! Well... she just pulled the first things she saw out of her drawer. I think it turned out pretty dang cute! Good job baby girl!}

{By the way: Kelsey said she really enjoyed Ruari and wants to watch her again! Score! ;D}
