First off, I'd like to apologize. This is ANOTHER RAM question. the problem is searching for ram+powerbook brings up so many other irrelevant topics.
Anyways, I've been looking at RAM on newegg. As long as it has a lifetime warranty, is there any difference between manufacturers?
also, I know my PB takes 200pin DDR PC2700 ram. is that the only type I can use, or can I use other kinds such as DDR2 (way cheaper)? I attached a system profiler screenshot for kicks.

After recently watching Tron Legacy in the movie theater, I loved how the different soldiers and those who wore helmets sounded with their voices modified. Is there a program available that could help me replicate that with my own voice? Their voices sounded very electronic.

Or we could compare smartphone models where the iPhone models would win again or we could compare actual smartphone brands which would again have Apple beating android brands.
If you want to compare iOS to Android then you have to include iPod Touches and iPads. They all run iOS and can basically run the same set of iPhone/iPod Touch or universal apps. It is not Apple's problem that almost nobody is making a non-phone android device in the same form factor as the iPod Touch. It is also not Apple's problem that Android tablets have been a flop.
If you are developer on iOS, you can target iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads with the same app if you choose so they can be consider one platform as far as universal apps are concerned.
You are missing it arn't you. When people do a graph to compare smart phone OSs they do not take the graph and account tablets, MP3 players or tvs they only count the items that are sold as phones.
I often do see apple users making comparisons to android such as "Androids have worst battery life." which is a broad comparison to it. It is also not true. The Atrix now holds the title as the longest lasting smart phone OS.

So, what do you call, and how do we handle the individual(s)who planned, and helped to plan the death of 3,000 + individuals on 9/11, the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, the Bali nightclub bombings, and who knows how many more acts of terrorism?
Can you honestly sit there and tell me that when we have in custody a high profile leader such as K.S.M. who has intricate, first hand knowledge of a terrorist organization that we should not do all that we can to obtain as much information from this person as possible? I suppose your thinking (and those of many others here) is that he should have been given a trial by jury, sent to prison, and that we had no right to try and obtain information from him?
Do you want to enjoy individual civil liberties, known as "rights" or are you willing to live in a police state to ensure your safety? Police states are good for the security of the state and those in power, but individuals are less secure.

Apple's attitude about this stuf has always been very positive. I'm totally willing to believe that all this stuff was an oversight since believing that matches what they've said in the past.
Weren't they made aware of this almost a year ago? That's a long time to address an oversight.

I have one of the newer mac mini's (server) with the HDMI out port on it. I am using the machine as a home theatre pc.
Friday night I rented a HD movie from Itunes and attempted to play it on my 50 inch plasma. I received the message that my display is not HDCP compliant and that I could not play the vidoe.
I looked up the specs on my Samsung PN50A650 and found the following statement about HDCP that states the display is HDCP compatible. The only other issue that may come into play, was that I had my EyeTV HD recorded plugged in at the time, I disconnected the device, but the video still did not play.
Does anyone know why I can not display the HDCP media? Is there a test file I can use for troubleshooting since the rental has expired? (Apple refunded my money by the way)

� HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is an interface that enables the
transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable.
� The difference between HDMI and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size and
has the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) coding feature installed.
➢ Each DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different
back panel configuration.
➢ The TV may not output sound and pictures may be displayed with abnormal color
when DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receivers supporting HDMI versions
older than 1.3 are connected. When connecting an older HDMI cable and there
is no sound, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN 2 jack and the audio cables
to the DVI IN (HDMI2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the back of the TV. If this happens,
contact the company that provided the DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver
to confirm the HDMI version, then request an upgrade.

Pretty sad that someone would say such a thing in such a case :(. I mean she's 11 and there were 18 of them.
Its a long way from even a "typical" "she deserved it" case where the woman in question is usually drunk and at a club/bar. Not that it is appropriate in that case either, but this is a really shocking case.

i'm not to keen on this whole cloud computing concept that is floating around at the moment. Anyone else have doubts?
"Floting around at the moment?" Forget it, it's come and gone and is here to stay.
Most people don't call it a 'cloud,' but an amazing number of people pretty much just use Facebook as their only photo-storage facility. Forget the fact that many of them become down-rezzed when doing so...and that's before you get into conversations about how safe the data is and how you can access it. Those kind of thoughts don't even enter most people's minds.
I've heard from so many people who have lost entire computer drives and kind of laugh it off 'cause their photos are on Facebook and their music is on their iPod.
You and I may see the downsides to cloud computing compared to what we do now, but for these people a better cloud-computing-workflow from a company like Apple would actually be a huge step UP.
