For all Premium Processing cases, the service center first sends a fax to the number provided in the I-907 premium processing request form before mailing the hard copy of the RFE. So your lawyer/employer might have already received the fax...Check with them...

Hi ,
I have applied 485 in July 2, 2007. Note that my PD Jan 2001 - EB3 (priority dated ported) And I140 is already approved. I have done FP in Oct 2007. Received EAD and AP way back. But I saw LUD on my 485 application on Dec 14, 2007.
Does this mean any thing. Message content is not changed though.
thanks,
:)

Apparently, no movement for EB3 ROW from November 2006 - April 2007:
November - 2006: 01AUG02
April - 2007: 01AUG02
In May 2007, it jumped to 01AUG03. I hope that there will be a movement in Jan 2009, Feb 2009 VB but looking at the trends it doesn't smee like there will be any.

Southern California members,
We have organized an Immigration Voice booth this Saturday August 18th at Pierce College, Woodland Hills at the IALA (India Independence) event. 14,000 people attended this event last year. Our aim is to talk to the general public about our issues, increase our membership and to generate publicity for the DC Rally. We will be handing out printed material, giving presentations and discussing our issues with the public.
The booth will be open from 3pm to 11pm. Come volunteer at the booth or visit us on the day. For more information on how you can volunteer, join the Southern California chapter here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SC_Immigration_Voice/
Note: We are aware that retrogression is a problem that affects people from all nationalities, however, due to the vast number of visa holders of Indian origin, the idea to take part in this event was proposed by a few members in our group. The So Cal IV group will gladly take part in membership drive events by other nationalities should those members come forward and propose such ideas.

Hi
I am about to start my process for green card. Not the best of times to file, but I absolutely cant afford to lose more time. My filing would be in EB3 as I have a 3 year bachelor degree. I have a professional accounting degree also but I dont think I would be making use of it. My approach right now is of least risk.
What I am little concerned about is the designation / job code to use. Though I have worked as a Programmer Analyst till now for 8 years now with some elements of Business Analysis - my idea is file as a Systems Analyst (Onet code - 15-1051.00 ). The reasons are two fold - one, to allow me to work as Business / Financial Analyst when I decide to change my role couple of years down the line and second, to limit the number of responses to advert given present market conditions.
I am not sure if what I am trying to do has any risks. My lawyer suggests that I should put only and only those elements in advert, for which I can provide experience letters at I 140 stage. So the exact business analysis elements may be difficult to get, but I see the job description at Onet site can quite fit my profile well. (I have done requirements analysis in my last job)
Also I am wondering if I need this approach at all. Like if I would want to work as a Business Analyst later on, I could file an another labor in anycase - the time lags to get 485 cleared are so long that I can get another labor approved before I apply for 485. This way right now I can get the priority date crystallized first up and care about job role later on.
However I dont know if the other reason - to prevent too many applications by posting this job code is a pragmatic one or not.
Please advise. Thanks much in advance.

I can't really help much, but I would say that going Canon won't actually help (unless you would be happy to use the Canon Digital Photo Professional tools, which is a simpler variant of lightroom, sort of).

I am about to file for my 7th year extension with I140 approval. My contract will be renewed with end client, every 6 months and they will not provide me with any client letter, basing on their HR policies. Even if the client gives a letter it will show only a contract for 6 months. Is this needed, that I should produce a client letter for 3 years? My concerns are
1. My primary concern is will the 6 months project length effect my extension for 3 years. Will they extension basing only on the length of the project.
2. Do I need to mention the project length in the letter given by my employer on behalf of client
3. what are the documents relating to client, needs to be submitted for the extension. (I will not be able to produce the client letter, as they are not willing to give)
4. Can I take a letter from vendor, who is in between my employer and the end client. What should be clearly stated in this vendor letter. Is this necessary to mention the project lenght in this letter.
Appreciate your help in filing for the extension

Anyone here who is in the same situation?
I know my PD is in Aug 2006 and was casually checking the I-485 Receipt Notice I got during the July 2007 fiasco. Surprisingly, the "Priority Date" box on the notice is blank.
"Received Date" and "Notice Date" are correct though.

Same boat. My brother's marriage is in the last week of August and I have to travel to India.
When I go to India, I will need to get H1b stamping on extension - will that be an issue?
If I apply for 485 now, and they send biometrics notices when I am in India (will be there for a week in last week of August) , will it be an issue? Though it is a long shot?
Changing address - I will be moving into a new apartment soon (in 3 months) - so effectively after applying 485, I will be moving to a new apartment - how will I handle address change?
Can anyone help me with these answers :)

I know that PERM labor gets expired if one does not file I-140 within 180 days of labor's approval date.
I am wondering if DOL has any procedure to revive expired approved/unused PERM by filing some sort of request/appeal or by paying some sort of fees etc. or if not ,then one files a new PERM by referring the old unused approved labor for the same job and same person then DOL can give an expedited approval.

Hi,
Myself and my wife filed our I-485 applications a couple of years ago. My wife was supposed to fill the date of birth of her mother in the application form. My month-in-law was born in a village about sixty five years ago, and nobody is aware of her precise date of birth. So we filled a date that was the most probable date as per our best judgment.
We forgot about the matter till now. However recently my folks back in India got a passport made for my mother-in-law. In the passport they filled a different date of birth (same year, different day and month). I came to know of this issue when we were planning to obtain a visitor visa for my mother-in-law.
How will this issue impact our pending I-485 applications, and the chances of my mother-in-law obtaining a US visa. It was a genuine mistake with no ulterior motives whatsoever. However now the lady has two different DOB in two different set of documents (her passport and her daughter's I-485 application). Should we take any steps to rectify the matter, or just ignore it.
Thanks all.

Hi Friends,
I would like to know if anyone is working for this company,
http://www.qtech-solutions.com/
and how is the work culture in there generally.
They are a desi firm and willing to sponsor h1b work permit in biotech field.
Please share if you or anyone who know works for them
Sorry to post this here, but i did not know other means of trying to find out about them.
A google search of them brings very bad reviews of them, where employees have posted never join them. But it is hard to know if it was posted by people who just hate them or if they are genuine employees.
Please either pm me if you are not interested to reply.
Thanks for the help.

I have probably a strange case .In 2007 when all the dates were current my employer filed I-140 & I485 at the same time in EB2 . I have received AP and EAD both according to standard procedure.I have maintained my H1B status. Then after a month or so I have received I-140 rejection due to different job requirement and I am overqualified for the job so my attorney interfiled new I-140 under EB3 without worrying about I 485 thinking since I 140 is denied it should nullify I485 under EB2 . In the mean time USCIS sent me a new I-485 receipt # . I got my I 140 approved in another six months under EB3 and now I have two I 485 receipt numbers as well as two A numbers. Both of the receipts when I checked the status show that it is under initial review. Shall I call USCIS and get rid of the initial I485 which is under EBII . Anyone had this kind of experience??

There should not be any issue for applying with only 2 months left. If you wait to get the next approval notice and go for stamping closer to the starting date of your next year of H1b you could get stamp for the next period too.
If there is 2 months or above left on the current extension then they will not give a visa including the new approval period. They will give only for the 2 months. So perferably go closer to the begining of the next period along with the new aproval notice (if you want to travel freely for the next period too)
